Conceptコンセプト

Metamorphosis is a 2D narrative-driven game where you play as a magical undersea creature who must consume poisonous contaminants and avoid death from toxin accumulation in order to restore their home and the creatures in the environment. The game is set in a mythical marine world filled with fascinating creatures and beautiful flora. Throughout the game, players will experience empathy for creatures trapped by the contaminants that have invaded their home, and gratification when they suc- cessfully save them and help bring life back to the ocean. This project was the USC graduation work for Joanna Shen, and Muyang Li (Game Course at Tokyo Geidai) and Shuqin Li (Department of Animation at Tokyo Geidai) were in charge of the artwork for the creatures.

Joanna Shen

Joanna is a game designer and technical artist studying Interactive Media and Games at USC. After studying Environmental Science at UCLA, she decided to pursue game design to create fantasy, narrative experiences that would evoke empathy in players and motivate them to take action to help the environment.
