Disassembling the Cyclopean Eye is an interactive VR project that addresses stereoscopic vision, space representation and memory in an immersive environment. The point of origin is the scientific understanding of the specificity of stereoscopy, its formation, and rules. The artistic inspiration behind the project is to transpose the scientific, biological concept of stereoscopy with its underlying notion of neural mechanism into an experiential object within a specific medium. Stereoscopic 360 images are folded into three-dimensional computational space, creating a glitchy, obscure maze of fragmented memoir.
