VR で遊ぶコミカルな建設型アドベンチャー。VR におけるアクセシビリティとは何か、 アクセシビリティを最優先とした場合、それを可能とするエステティックは何かを 探っている。
Detour Bus is a casual, virtual-reality, construction-comedy adventure, where players build ridiculous winding highways around themselves, to take the Flowers family on a road trip across post-infrastructure America. The game combines a goofy core mechanic with comedic environmental interactions and storytelling. Using just one button and capitalizing on feedback systems built into VR hardware, Detour Bus lets players feel the wonder of VR without friction. It explores what accessibility can look like in VR, and what aesthetics support accessibility-first design.

Zachary Flores and Ezra J. Robinson are students at the University of Southern California and the founders of Late Stage Interactive, a game studio committed to building the kinds of games that see accessibility as a tentpole, not an afterthought, to offer players of all abilities and experience levels meaningful play. As a VR gameplay engineer, Zach has worked at Funktronic Labs and Tender Claws, as well as shipped the SIGGRAPH 2019 selection Ollie. Ezra comes from a film production background that circuitously led him to the tabletop gaming industry, in which he worked for Funko Games in production, design, and marketing.
